Thank you for having me on your podcast, and for allowing me to use your Martian scenario in science fiction! I greatly appreciate your deep interest in American regional differences, your description of growing up in Arizona was very well thought out. You should definitely write a full article on Southwest suburban culture someday.

Really great podcast, I have a lot of thoughts, it will take me a while to get them all out.

It does seem intriguing. While some of his scenarios are rather unrealistic, I do believe that the "Retroculture" concept can be used to create effective parallel societies free of the worst problems of our time.

Ive said this for years and the proof is just look at the craziest states, Florida, Texas... California. White ppl on too much direct sunlight. Honestly the only places in the US that are really suitable for us are New England, Pacific Northwest and maybe Western Montana/Wyoming/Colorado
