I didn’t come to Substack for this, but somehow you’ve made this issue I don’t even care about perfectly coherent and that is oddly satisfying. Humans are just bottomless pits of fascination.
I actually have heard of people putting filler in their feet, to hide veins and tendons. Much more common in their hands, but I've at to least heard of it for people who care what their feet look like.
Nope just older women on top to hide veins I think. Though now I am kind of wondering if maybe people could use filler on their heels or balls of their feet like for extra padding/shock absorbency? Doesn't that wear out when people get old and their feet start hurting? Almost like wearing orthotics, but in your actual foot.
I thought this was going to be about how fSMV rose enough that they set the price, as a result men started competing on looks (gym, looksmaxxing) and now they're licking feet to increase their chances.
I do find it interesting how deep the semiotics of fetishes go, despite their effectively being brute facts. I’ve heard lots of people describe “why they like x”, with varying levels of thoughtfulness and sophistication, and even the verbally clumsy just-so stories sounded coherent and plausible
Part of me wonders whether internal “fetish logics” might be a fruitful case study for investigating how worlds of meaning and emotional salience emerge spontaneously and without conscious awareness of the confabulation
Is there some esoteric meaning to the publication of an article about how "fetish I dislike is bad" rapidly followed by "fetish I like is good"? I have trouble taking it seriously as anything but an illustration of your idea about how discourse is about justifying aesthetics.
I had to look up quite a bit of the terminology in this piece. But I soldiered on because I am hot for nice feet and now feel better equipped to think and talk about some of the reasons why.
Feet are also highly sensitive and so touching a woman’s feet is also an excellent barometer of her mood segueing into foreplay; if she’s stressed and irritated she probably won’t appreciate the excessive stimulation whereas if she’s relaxed or open to relaxing, accepting a foot rub is a perfect precursor to escalation.
