Last night, while a bit drunk my wife and I were talking about how she tapped out and went to bed during the rape scene in Caligula while I kept watching. She said in a matter-of-fact tone "you are a man, rape is in your blood"

Excellent article. The power of story. I am an idiot who thinks the truth matters. Jokes on me, oh well, my own foolishness even amuses me.

Mammalian intercourse relies on rape-ish instincts to occur. These are mediated to some degree by mating dances, depending on the species (Donald Duck is the hardest R rapist out there).

Humans, as mammals, carry this curse. Our own mating dances are fragile due to relying heavily on language and culture and can be scrambled by motivated, evil groups. The happiest available medium seems not to rely overly much on celebrating the mammalian rape instincts as much as it does the 'proper' mating dance and the roles the couple takes thereafter.

Or, in other words, Beauty and the Beast is uncivilized.

I had a lesbian professor at university who, during a lecture, stated that all men are rapists, and the only reason some men haven’t raped yet is because they haven’t had the opportunity. I saw women in the class look at each other and roll their eyes in response to the lunacy.

If all sex is rape, why is rape illegal?

Also, can one consent to rape?

You hate Andrea Dworkin because she was ugly, I hate her because she isn't intellectual rigorous. We are not the same.

Listen, that girl deserves all the hate she gets. Every gender studies wannabe revolutionary would quote her to me in college and I would really read up on it, because I was raping...I mean fucking them. And when you really read Andrea, you realize her "All sex is rape" idea is just the joker "We live in a society meme" for midwit postmodern art hoes 30 years ago.

Do you live in a society? Well all societies involve power dynamics and power dynamics affect your decision making. Congratulations, you've been raped.

Like you said, there are a lot of other feminists with much more present and biting critiques of what's going on - and I'd respect people a lot more if they quoted any of those people instead of Dworkin's greatest hits.

Agree. The happiest people I know are very obviously deluded about important parts of their lives - “My wife loves me,” “My job is important” etc. Understanding reality too well makes you miserable. Very Lovecraftian.

Its mostly due because feminism has had a noticeable presence in academia, its polar opposite not so much. That's why there's a bit of an imbalance.

I will add also that I wager that both these "incel" types and academics, whether they admit it or not, generally agree on the position of women in society. Its just that the former are straight forward and honest about it, and the whole spiel about ignoring social cues and autism follows suit.
