To me, the death of Charlie Kirk was significant in particular because he was neither a top-dog nor an absolute obscurity. A sort of high-level Young Republican master-debater just shy of having a goofy bow tie grafted permanently to him. In a sense he felt sort of pedestrian, harmless, and an ever-present Republican shepherd for college-age youth.
And to have a figure like that turned into a gory blood fountain by an assassin's shot is... affecting. As was the sadistic glee with which so many Leftist creatures giggled and gyrated and horray'ed over it all. I've seen plenty of rekt and gore online in my day, but none of it quite compared. Likely because it was tiny-faced Kirk and not some random industrial worker unwillingly entering into the Chinese space program through the roof of his exploded factory. It gave a feeling like, "I know that guy!" to then watch his jugular open up like a damned blood rift.
When I was a kid, I'd been witness to a pig butchering. The great big hog was led out into a little stall, and one of the men leveled his rifle at it. The shot pierced its skull, and despite the bullet probably scrambling up its brain almost immediately it still shrieked and spasmed in deathly reflex. But it was the way its blood fountained up out of its wound, like a damn water fountain pulsing with the turns of an unsteady hand... That's what Kirk's blood looked like. Not just a person's blood, but, "that guy I know."
If Kirk had died off camera by some kind of accident or act of God, far few people would care much at all. The Left would still have danced with joy, his fans would have wept, and things would have gone onto the next flavor of the week within a few days. But that wasn't the case. It was gory, and up close, and a particularly horrifying place to get shot. And so to experience that extreme on the one side, and then to have these prissy, effete Lefties with mental constitutions less firm than a cotton ball hippy-hop and dance and laugh with abandon because it was a "Nazi" that died, it was jarring and enraging. These people who can't even their can't-evens without a fucking sensory deprivation safe space chamber had watched a man's turn into a fountain suddenly were fit as fiddles and right and rain. And it sounds likely there was another troon cabal at work at least partially behind this.
Anyway, Kirk-worship is foolish, but brushing it aside as of meager impact I think is a bit short-sighted. In concert with Iryna's own horrible and unjust death, it has really riled up a lot of people and brought out the kind of energy I haven't seen for quite some time. Time will tell how much of this is tempest and how big the tea kettle is, but for now it's clear to me that people need more than just facile Conservatism and its bland, uninspiring, tired acquiescence to the Left. And honestly, there's a mutual bloodthirst developing that has no signs of quickly abating.
The image is incredibly important in the reaction people are having to his death. The reason people are so angry is two fold. First: the image is incredibly compelling of this boring fudy-duddy looking guy with very normal/average ideas getting shot for debating those ideas.
The second is because they were normal/average ideas. If the left want's him dead, and is willing to risk their lives to murder him in a gruesome spectacle rather than permit him open dialogue to discuss those ideas... then they want every single one of us dead too. Every single person who celebrated his murder is not just an asshole, they're an existential threat. They'll gladly kill you and your family and celebrate doing so because your ideas are more "extreme" than those of Charlie Kirk. And that's true for every single person right-of-center. He had normal boring centrist ideas (for the most part) and they killed him and celebrated his death because he wanted to hold an open dialogue and discuss them. At an instinctual level we all know that if they could kill us all (60 million plus Americans at least) they'd start digging the mass graves right now.
Yeah. I think walt is just disenchanted with feminine moralism because that's the only kind of collective interest he's familiar with (and rightly dismisses.)
So when the right uses it's "concerns" over civil war to orchestrate 50,000 firings, that codes as feminine to him. Because even politics itself coded as feminine, no matter how brutal and bloodthirsty it is, because it has the thin veneer of civility that the 00s era "vulgar shift" would have discarded.
I'm sure he thinks that genuine strifen would be accompanied by vulgarisms, but the vulgar 00s were far more peaceful than the PC 90s. It's just a fundamentally mistaken view of masculinity and bloodlust that the millennials received. You don't do the arrogant frat-boy thing when you have murder on your mind, as all zoomers (and women) do.
Distaste at the game and sitting it out is what the conservatives did. Yeah you don’t have to play but the winner sets the rules for society so if you need to do some “low human capital” coded things to win, either do them or you don’t get to pilot the ship of state.
Its grimy and kind of disgusting but that is often how things are when you get a closer look at them. So, if you want to change society for the better, roll up your sleeves and stick your hands into its putrid guts.
I think a lot of young men want to be warriors and random shootings are a way of dying a warrior's death, which the sort of women who are good at left-brainy rational thinking really don't tend to get because, well, their equivalent male personality type doesn't like it either. Heck, I *feel* it in my bones, but I don't even consider it because I run the numbers and it doesn't work (assassinations wind up helping the other side 99 times out of 100, and you just wind up in jail getting raped).
But, yeah, emotionally, I get it. One moment of glory and be remembered forever after. But it almost never works that way. Who looks up to Lee Harvey Oswald or John Hinckley? Even Gavrilo Princip is seen as kind of a loser, and he did change the course of history.
I've heard that sone HR ladies are genuinely demanding their employees be sad about Charlie Kirk, i can't go that far. He was a comrade, if a deep and intense rival, and men do not weep over their comrades, they make their deaths mean something. Even if it's only an act of mass intimidation with the firings of 50,000 libtards (and counting.)
Similarly, the civil war talk is not about genuine fear. We are but afraid of civil war. We're telling the other side that they're starting a civil war if not actively prosecuting one. Civil War is bad in the way that all strife is bad, but strife is worth choosing in a great many circumstances, especially when higher values like civilization are placed against the much lower value of mere peace. It is probably better for your country to die with a bang than a whimper.
But this is zoomer loser talk. The millennial is acutely aware that personal interest trumps national "collectivist" interest. I can only assune this is because millennials are inclined to see "concern" as a question of feminine communication norms, and intuitively dismiss them. These events are concerning, in the way that a complete breakdown of diplomatic relations and social order is concerning. As a presagement of war
Well written and thoughtful but far from your best take.
On whither Charlie's killer, public garrotting is the answer for two reasons. It would enrage and humiliate his sympathisers and instantly expose the enemy within.
That "Ukrainian chick"Iryna Zarutska was murdered by black criminal decarlos brown because she was white. A nation that gives >50 %approval to blm is literally giving him moral licence to carry out that savage murder. Mental health will be used to get him off any potential murder charge.
Tyler Robinson dropped out from that Utah college and Charlie Kirk famously never attended college. There were 1000s of petitions against him even speaking there. He obeyed the rules by slaying a white male because ultimately black (criminal)lives matter more.
Not every murder is a race thing. The ukranian chick being turned into swiss cheese deffo was but this was not. It was a white vs white thing. The whites in question having views so incompatible they can no longer share the same civilization.
In the Internet age failing to use a person's name is insulting and when the individual in question has been the victim of a racist murderous attack it's doubly so. You decided to be even more disrespectful than the author himself.
“It was a white vs white thing".
Exactly.White males obeying the rules of society don't harm the black and brown folks only each other
Gen X Uncle chiming in to reply to the avocado toast author’s article. Nice work not being the typical sensitive faggot Normie Millenial. It soothes my sensibilities as the elder statesmen since I had to walk 50 miles to school in the snow without shoes on. I usually have a huge disdain for most younger generations because they voluntarily gave in to the buttfucking PsyOps put out like the Plandemic. Kirk’s was a life cut too short and what disappoints me is that we won’t see how his view about the tribe would’ve evolved. There was some evidence suggesting that he was wising up out of the conservative boomer Zionism. Yes the fact that he got married and had kids puts him in better light than Fuentes the catboy enjoyer with questionable sexuality. Faggots aren’t seriously accepted anywhere no matter what age among the rightwing.
Note that Walt is a "vulgar wave" millennial, so he doesn't necessarily see how much of a social breakdown is at play here with one side baying for blood and the other coldly orchestrating mass purges.
He thinks this is some kind of civility thing, and that strife will be matched with 00s vulgarity. It will not, it will be matched with bodies and silence.

Here was my article on it for anyone interested:

Kirk means more than the CEO because he was killed for embodying the American ideal. Don’t be retarded.
Also fuck you for acting like you don’t know the shooters motive. He was Antifa and shacked up with a femboy. Are you on the take?

Being a successful ceo is a way better embodiment of the American ideal than being a cringy clickbait debater.
You are spiritually Indian, not American.

Elder Millennials and the Great Recession mentioned 😂😂
More seriously, enjoyed the parallel divergent paths framing...
lmao that line was 100% Jarlisbait
Haven't been around much the last six months, but a cool one to come across dipping back in...
