How do people want to me to introduce myself? What is the most interesting way to capture my identity? Here are the options.
A- Homosexual curry peddler with an intellectual and spiritual affinity for aesthetically subversive & entrepreneurial wytbois
B- Melancholic 4w3 ENFJ who both extremely lonely / alienated yet effortlessly socially dominant in public & career life
C- Second generation immigrant who is capable of constant high-impact execution, highly abstract analysis, and highly effective self-harm (often all simultaneously)
D- Thoroughly Americanized Hindoo Millennial who utterly torched his existence within the Cathedral ecosystem for a slim chance at real freedom and meaning
I’m ringleader, an anon from the American South that posts from my humble backyard called dog & pony show. I write poetry, fiction, and essays about the fringes of culture, philosophy, religion, and politics, all with an eye for the truth and tongue in cheek. Currently, I’m writing a book about Backyard Nationalism, my project to provide a universal framework for intentional community.
I’m a 90s baby, or even ProtoZoomer or Zillenial, if you will. But I grew up in a 1 stop light town with a boomer father, so that comes with its own perspective. English, Scots-Irish, Southron. Christian. INTP for what it’s worth.
Met Walt on Substack in spring 2024 there about when he made his no longer a white nationalist post. I made a comment about his treatment of the South in the piece, he replied, and we struck up a friendship. Looking forward to seeing the old “Walt Right” percolate back to how it was in the heyday last year.
3. Close to its inception. Not sure when I listened to your first parody, but it was definitely by 2021 (somebody shared the IQ tests song in a gc) but I vaguely remember listening to the alt right christmas parody back in 2016 or so.
I’m a Senior in High School, male, Gen Z, Nordic/Anglo, love politics and skiing, don’t currently write but I plan to in the future if I quit being a lazy cunt. Used to be a Mormon till about 2 years ago. The MBTI is just astrology, the Big 5 is where it’s at. Libertarian except on borders and crime. I plan to join Tortuga after I get my bachelor’s as I don’t think it’s targeted at me rn. Unfortunately, I’m a recovering Zoomer dopamine addict. I discovered you once I downloaded Substack because of Richard Hannania. Currently on an Adderall tolerance break😁.
I'm an elder millennial agnostic anon guy from California. Politically I'm effectively a populist centrist who even voted for Bernie, but was also red pilled early on regarding the second order effects of immigration and TFR. I see California as a quasi-authoritarian captured one-party state and was rather black pilled about Kamala winning last year because she was so awful, but luckily the US isn't just California writ large. Oh, and fuck wokeness. MBTI wise I'm an INTJ, and am both very high openness and high neurotic on the Big 5.
What do you write about (if anything)?
TBA...
When did you find the Walt Right? What intrigued you about this space?
I saw Walt's roast of Nebraska and his exchange with Tracing Woodgrains go viral on Twitter and wanted to read the whole thing. I found his content unique and very high concept to the point I registered with the platform and became a reply guy.
I'm a zillennial musician living in San Francisco. I used to be a woke progressive (I went to Oberlin, for fuck's sake) but I have since de-radicalized through the urbanist->YIMBY->Abundance pipeline. I think "urbanist" is probably my most salient political/ideological identity. Everything else is pretty much downstream from "dense walkable cities are engines of prosperity and innovation, and they're also just more enjoyable places to live, so we should build way more of them because it's really fucking stupid that people are forced to live in shitty suburban sprawl just to find reasonably affordable housing."
Despite our very different politics, I think Walt and I have some weird places of overlap, and I find him very entertaining, so I stick around. I first clicked on "Why I'm No Longer a White Nationalist" out of morbid curiosity, and found a lot of parallels between our respective de-radicalizations from the stupid extremist backgrounds. Similarly to him, I think that more transparently coalitional and transactional politics would probably make for a healthier political discourse. I'm also very concerned about dopamine traps and the bifurcation between the people who are competent agents in the real world, and the people who live in a digital realm of vapid entertainment and have increasingly stunted social skills. I'm similarly interested in the dynamics of "asymmetric returns," though instead of pursuing job stacking, I just make good money working for about 25 hours/week, and invest a large percentage of my income in boring stock index funds.
I write a little for fun on no consistent publication schedule at all. My most successful piece is "What Does 'Weird' Even Mean." And even though it didn't really take off, I'm kind of proud of my insights about dopamine traps, advertising, and gender disparities in "Boys are From Skyrim, Girls are From Instagram." Maybe the title didn't entice people, but I think it would be of interest to readers here.
Millennial male white American atheist. INTJ. Politics: leftist turned anti-democrat because they’re anti-me. Pro free market.
Not a writer. I read this blog because it’s interesting and I’m debating joining the Tortuga Society because I eventually need income again, and I need intellectual friends who aren’t democrats.
I write about culture through the lens of aesthetics. I’m currently editing a fantasy book - an evil wizard causes a plague and convinces Quagmerica that his potion is the cure. Anyway, this is one of my favorite essays:
How’d I find Walt? Probably through my esteemed mentor Dr Monzo, who I think I found through Bennett’s Phylactery/ Exit Group, who I found through Tom Woods, who I found through my brother, and thus the pipeline is complete. What intrigued me? Well, I like John Doyle, but I think he’s wrong about theater kids
The Calipers - I'm one of those bitches that says "guess my identity." Some feedback I've gotten so far: Jew? Pajeet? fem bottom? programmer?
These are just groups I’ll obsess over for a week. I love this space because everybody moves fast and has fun doing it. The playfulness and creativity here is my Adderall.
My most popular pieces are about autism, tranny hookers, and racial body odor. The reason I write is to name the things that you know but haven't put words to.
Older Zoomer/Man/Cascadian (albeit born in NJ and raised in the Southwest)/Polytheist/Strict Anti-Immigration Left-Wing Nationalist (to Denmark's style)/ENFP-A
I usually don't write, but I will comment on posts. A lot of times going against the flow, and advocating for a total ban on immigration and dual citizenship. Doesn't care about being labeled Left or Right (whatever that means anymore). I did write about banning fast food, and I still stand by that. I think it's gayer than the military, and this whole service industry is absolutely unsustainable on top of that.
Am also an advocate for independence movements and against sprawl.
Thuletide is where I heard you from. I like him, and even though he critiqued you radically, I decided to check you out anyways.
I mostly read the Walt Right because other creators that I like read the Walt Right. As for the space: “Like most other rabbits, I cannot resist a good rabbit hole”.

D- Thoroughly Americanized Hindoo Millennial who utterly torched his existence within the Cathedral ecosystem for a slim chance at real freedom and meaning
E- Cactus Brahmin who writes stirring testimonials about his hopeless attempts to fulfill his impossible earthly dharma (e.g., https://rajeevram.substack.com/p/my-country-tis-of-thee-sweet-land)
F- Best bro and loyal confidante to the end-of-the-line to racist pirate dom who is building a an artistic castle unlike any other the world has seen
G- A complicated guy
Simon Laird - I write about philosophy, religion, and the American Conservative movement. Here's my best piece: https://simonlaird.substack.com/p/the-substack-centrists-dont-understand
Zillennial - Amerikaner of Borderer and German extraction - Deist - INTJ
Enjoyed Walt's videos years ago and joined the Tortuga society last fall.

Idk about best piece honestly. My favorite at the moment is probably my whole American Empire in V Cantos poem series. Jump in at IV and see what you think: https://dogandponyshow.substack.com/p/canto-ivdestruction-of-american-empire

1. Gen Z who is spiritually Millennial | male | United States/raised in Spain | Hispanic | not religious | conservative | INXX
2. Humans. My piece on mutational load is my personal favourite https://www.sebjenseb.net/p/taking-mutational-load-seriously, my work on national IQs is probably the most well known https://www.sebjenseb.net/p/most-accurate-national-iqs-possible

"Gen Z who is spiritually millenial" = Gen Z who can read more than one stence
Amirite? ;)

1. Female Millennial (41), white American, no religion (raised Episcopalian), liberal ENFJ
2. Cultural commentary mostly about gender stuff, personal memoir-style essays. My most popular essay so far is "Did Feminism Ruin Dating?"
https://open.substack.com/pub/lirpa/p/did-feminism-ruin-dating?r=2yesh&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=false
3. I found this place sometime early last year, maybe March '24, via Walt's essay "Stop Being Mean to Slutty Women." Still a banger
Who are you?

I found the Walt Right through Dave Greene’s positive note on your article “why you should stop bullying slutty women”
Strategy Pattern — I am a game developer and ludologist (which is a basically a game developer who has read books on the philosophy of games).
I recently wrote a piece on the Binding of Isaac and Post-Modernism that I feel turned out well: https://open.substack.com/pub/strategypattern/p/revisionist-post-modernism-and-the?r=2x7kv1&utm_medium=ios.
